Gucci Loves New York

February 2008 marked the opening of Gucci’s most anticipated store at 725 5th Ave. Their largest in the world, by far. To honor this luxurious opening, Creative Director Frida Giannini came up with a new collection of exclusive products to be sold only at Gucci 5th Ave. This collection, the first of its continued series, together with the extravagant and brand spanking design, makes a brilliant combination. This branch, by fate is going to be the global fashion destination for Gucci’s most valuable patrons.

Giannini has designed a couple of exclusive products, one of which is the Gucci ? New York. This is a tribute to the city where Gucci first opened its store in 1953. This collection used its distinctive GG pattern canvas, recreating it in a fresh and novel style. This piece is all white, shiny GG canvas, and has a stunning backdrop for red and royal blue stripes, and the high-flying “Gucci ? New York” using Guccio Gucci’s very own signature stamped on the fabric.

This collection is offered in three different sizes, with the trademark red and blue web, a briefcase, a duffle bag in two sizes, a toiletries bag and a set of rigid luggage, as well as a trolley suit case. Proceeds from this collection will be donated for the care and maintenance of the Playground Partners of the Central Park Conservancy.
