Eluxury afficionados have revealed their top ten elite choices for the summer (found in the Buzz section), and one handbag that made it to the list is the Maison Martin Margiela Large Satin Sac Bag. This retail product wa especially picked by Jenni Witt, the buyer for women’s designer category. Back in January, the exact same handbag was featured in one of her posts. “You can put your whole life inside it, yet it still maintains a cool slouchy shape,” she states.
Martin Margiela previously worked for Hermes and Jean Paul Gaultier, and is very well known for his simple and classic designs - both attributes manifested in the large satin sac bag. This particular handbag is really a piece of sack, but its delicately gorgeous satin material pulls the design together to make it into a stylish creation.
The shoulder strap is of grained leather, and drops to 16 inches. What is nice about this bag is its open top (only secured by a gold snap button) which makes it easier to access everything inside. It has a width of 29 inches (quite large indeed!) but when gathered around, it creates elegant pleats and creases. Retail price is $745, also available in butter and sky.
